The General Counsel is the chief risk navigator for the company. The general counsel provides senior management with effective advice on navigating the regulatory environment, business and product strategies and their implementation. The General Counsel also manages the legal function, and obtains and oversees the work of outside counsel. The general counsel is also directly involved in complex business transactions and in negotiating critical contracts.
