The General Counsel works with Senior Leadership to manage the legal affairs of organization’s global and domestic programs. The General Counsel will manage international legal operations, and 501(c)(3) non-profit status, including corporate registrations, governance of affiliates, employment issues, contracting, grant making, compliance and risk management, and general legal program support. The GCO will also provide complex transactional support to DC based programs and departments, and will resolve legal issues, provide expert advice, and counsel staff on a range of issues affecting non-profit organizations.
