The Manager Government Relations is responsible for supporting the proactive development and cultivation of relationships with key local, state and federal government officers, congressional offices, federal agencies and other stakeholders through education-based advocacy in support of company’s strategic objectives. Responsible for tracking, analyzing, prioritizing and developing positions on evolving fuels, HSSE, supply, refining, financial/tax, and other relevant issues in the federal, state, and local legislative arenas. Manages the preparation of persuasive lobbying arguments, position papers and talking points to advocate the company’s position, and develop lobbying strategies to exert maximum influence on the legislative process.
