The Office of the General Counsel is seeking a lawyer to advise and represent academic departments and business units in commercial transactions for the University’s purchase, sale, lease or license of goods or services and in asserting and resolving related disputes. Depending on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications, the hire will be for an assistant or an associate general counsel. Be principally responsible for advising the Purchasing Department on complex purchase transactions; the University Libraries on database and e-content license agreements; and departments and units on end user, distribution and other forms of software license agreements and on transactions to purchase goods and services.
