The Vice President & General Counsel functions as in-house legal counsel reporting to the Corporate VP Government & Legal Affairs and is responsible for complex and general legal matters of the System and all of its entities. Provides legal counsel on a broad variety of legal issues. Assesses and ensures that the legal rights of the System are managed in accordance with all applicable law and regulation. Manages in-house legal, risk and corporate insurance team and outside counsel; provides regular advice on various legal matters, including federal and state laws pertinent to nonprofit, health, and corporate liability matters, fraud and abuse, employment matters, risk management, patient rights, and corporate and commercial transactions.
