Responsible for a broad range of intellectual property matters, primarily focused on biotechnologies, though will include other areas as appropriate. Leads a team of IP attorneys and non-attorneys across several Corp research sites, drives patent strategies with regard to competitive IP environment on a global basis. Knowledge of U.S. intellectual property law and ability to address issues globally. Ability to communicate with people at all levels in the organization, including with respect to communicating complicated technical IP issues to non-technical members of the organization, communicating difficult IP legal concepts to senior leadership to make critical decisions on contentious IP matters with core competitors.
