In this challenging and dynamic role as Assistant General Counsel based in Houston, TX, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your legal expertise by being responsible for handling a wide range of legal issues arising from our life insurance, annuity, and group retirement businesses. You also may become involved with trade group and industry activities with a focus on understanding what regulatory proposals and industry trends will have an impact on the taxation and/or ERISA requirements for investment products and arrangements and related services, and acting as the liaison between the company and the industry. This position will report to the Deputy General Counsel and Senior Vice President, and will focus primarily on tax and ERISA benefit matters related to life insurance and annuity products, employee benefit plans and related services, and individual retirement arrangements.
