General Counsel reports to the CEO. The responsibility of the General Counsel will be to provide senior management with effective advice on legal and logical implications of company strategies and their implementation, assure compliance by company (and its subsidiaries) with applicable laws and regulations, and with the bylaws, protect intellectual property, incorporate into contracts appropriate rights and protections for company and avoid unnecessary contract obligations of company,. manage the legal function, and obtain and oversee the work of outside counsel. The General Counsel will be directly involved in complex business transactions in negotiating critical contracts.
