Claims Counsel are attorneys who are responsible for investigating and handling claims to resolution. The Claims Counsel reports to the Regional Claims Manager. Investigate, evaluate, determine loss and defense coverage liability and resolve claims. Establish settlement and expense reserves. Determine need to retain outside counsel. Manage claims and/or litigation through to final resolution.
