Under direct supervision, this position will engage in entry level legal activities including, but not limited to items such as basic document review and editing, creation of documents using templates, performance of legal research, preparation of legal memoranda, summaries, charts or other deliverables, assisting in obtaining, reviewing, preparing and/or tracking due diligence information and documents and transaction exhibit information and documents, and attendance at legal education seminars and subsequent report-out. Functional areas include a broad range of legal areas affecting the company’s services and operations such as antitrust, tax, employment law, corporate governance, physician practice acquisitions; hospital operational support; health care risk management; clinical-related issues; regulatory compliance; medical staff and accreditation; clinical affiliation agreements; managed care contracting; real estate and construction; and health care reform and reimbursement.
