The Corporate Counsel, Business Affairs and Risk Manager position is responsible for providing legal and risk management support to the management operations and sales teams. Reviews property-level contracts (e.g., event contracts, group business, and vendor contracts), advises operations personnel on legal obligations and potential claims, develops standard operating procedures and manages insurance and safety related issues that may expose the Company to litigation or insurance claims. Identifies, mitigates, manages, and insures a diverse array of risk exposures faced by the Company, affiliates, and ventures. Manages all automobile liability, fire, and property damage claims, including communications with attorneys, claims reviews, investigations, and negotiations of settlements.
