In this position you will be responsible for a variety of subject matter areas focusing specifically on business/commercial contracts, insurance policies, and privacy/security/data concerns, and providing backup support for legal team on other subject matters. Those areas may include general corporate/governance, regulatory/tax/compliance/audit support, intellectual property, grant awards and management, labor and employment, litigation analysis and support, and special projects – responsibilities among department members may rotate, so interest in these areas is required. The medical malpractice insurer for the Harvard Medical institutions is looking for an Assistant Corporate Counsel to provide accurate, relevant, and timely legal advice and services for the company with supervision/direction from Senior Corporate Counsel.
