The General Counsel evaluates and helps to mitigate risk for the organization across all aspects of the business. He or she is responsible for ensuring the Company’s compliance with laws, rules and regulations related to its publicly traded securities and offerings. The General Counsel also ensures compliance with employment, advertising and trademarks laws, as well as managing outside counsel for the Company. He or she reviews applicable laws, policies, and regulations to determine positions that best protect the Company and communicates with business units to support legal compliance and consistency.
