The Real Estate Counsel reports to the Corporate Counsel and is responsible for all matters (except financing) related to the acquisition of real estate. Must be able to perform/oversee every step of a real estate transaction from a “letter of intent” through closing, including: negotiating a purchase/sale agreement and site acquisition diligence (e.g. title documents, Phase 1 and Phase 2 reports, environmental, zoning and flood reports, surveys, and other entitlement matters). Participate in weekly meetings regarding on-going and future deals. Negotiate third-party (e.g. easements, covenants, plans approvals, general/subcontractor contracts) agreements for both real estate- and construction-related transactions.
