The primary responsibilities of this role will be to direct and manage employment, labor, and employee benefits legal activities for company and its affiliated entities; to provide competent, practical and timely legal advice to management and other stakeholders such as Human Resources in order to minimize legal and financial liability and preserve corporate assets; and to undertake appropriate procedures and develop strategies, as necessary, to protect and defend corporate interests. Provide legal advice regarding employee-related matters including wage and hour, FMLA and disability leaves, disability accommodation, discipline and terminations, pay disputes, restrictive covenants, employee complaints, compensation and benefits, union activity, social media, and workforce reductions. Interpret laws and regulations impacting the employer/employee relationship and guide policy development, training, and compliance efforts on behalf of the Company.
