The Director of Legal Services / Associate Counsel reports to the General Counsel and is responsible for providing guidance on general corporate and regulatory matters for the Health System subsidiaries. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Contract preparation and negotiation, corporate law and governance matters, regulatory research and advice, including HIPAA matters, policy preparation and review, grants and research documentation review, departmental advice regarding consent issues and legal process advice related to, and oversight of, risk management claims and litigation matters, preparation and review of documentation related to real estate matters, including leases, advice and document preparation related to employment matters, including employment and non-compete agreements.
