This position reports to the Division Senior Vice President – General Counsel and will have responsibility for providing legal services to the corporation in the area of international law (franchising, joint venture, mergers & acquisitions, customs and retail law issues primarily in Australia, Canada, and Latin America). Included are a variety of international law issues in Australia, Canada, China, Middle East, Latin America, India, Asia, Africa and other international expansion countries related to advising the business and the international development team regarding franchising; joint ventures; mergers & acquisitions; customs, tariff, duties and other trade issues (predominately in Australia, Canada and Latin America); Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and similar international laws and regulations; retail law issues and other international operational matters.
