Responsibilities for Senior Counsel I within the Law Department include: Acting as strategic advisor to clients regarding new laws and regulations and advising clients and co-workers of compliance requirements; identifying and assessing legal and enterprise risk and providing holistic business solutions that support risk mitigation. This role acts as a leader and relationship manager for law group services to the company and its lines of business. Success criteria include: proven leadership ability and solid understanding of business and regulatory environment; Ability to develop and implement strategies that drive bottom-line results; timely and effective handling of daily requests from numerous diverse client groups; establishing reputation as an accessible and approachable team member of client lines of business, functional areas, Law Department and other support groups; and collaboration with clients, management, co-workers and outside counsel to identify and mitigate risks resulting in reasonable and risk-appropriate decisions..
