Resolves claims and disputes prior to litigation. Oversees litigation. Retains, supervises and directs the activities of outside counsel. Advises and assists business units with legal matters related to assigned areas which may involve real estate, corporate, employment and various other legal services. Identifies potential legal issues related to business practices and policies. Assists in the negotiation of contracts and prepares written contracts and other documents memorializing business relationships. Represents the company at court, administrative hearings and other legal proceedings.
