The primary responsibility of this attorney will be to provide legal support and counseling for company's regulatory compliance functions, especially the company’s compliance with the Department of Transportation and Consumer Product Safety Commission regulations. This attorney will work closely with the company’s engineering and quality groups to understand product field performance (particularly as it relates to determinations of product defects and/or non-compliance with Federal regulations) and to ensure timely and accurate reporting and coordination with the necessary state and federal agencies as needed.
