The Director, Risk Management is responsible for planning, directing, managing and administering the University’s risk management programs and operations. The primary objective of this position is to protect the University’s assets and personnel by minimizing the risk of loss, damage or injury to individuals, University property, or third parties for which the University may be held responsible. Manage all aspects of the University’s property and casualty insurance programs, including understanding and evaluating University risk exposures, arranging and maintaining appropriately structured and cost effective insurance coverages (self insurance and commercial), and ensuring regular reevaluation of policy language and overall insurance portfolio effectiveness.
