This Associate Counsel is responsible to provide direct legal counsel and subject matter expertise for multiple routine functional areas, and one or more complex functional areas. Functional areas include a broad range of legal areas affecting company’s services and operations such as antitrust, tax, employment law, physician practice acquisitions; hospital operational support; health care risk management; clinical-related issues; regulatory compliance; medical staff and accreditation; clinical affiliation agreements; managed care contracting; real estate and construction; and health care reform and reimbursement. The Associate Counsel provides oversight of selected outside counsel or consultants as well as legal externs, Staff Attorneys and Assistant Counsel.
