As a patent counsel, you will assume rapidly increasing responsibility for building a world-class patent portfolio protecting company’s trailblazing innovations in big data management and analytics. Work hard--display drive & initiative; Identify patentable & strategic inventions, and frame them for outside counsel; Supervise outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of litigation-worthy patent assets. You will not draft patent applications from start to finish, but you will: Review, redirect, and revise outside counsel’s draft claims/applications as appropriate to produce litigation-worthy patents; and Review, redirect, and revise outside counsel’s claim amendments and prosecution strategy as appropriate to produce litigation-worthy patents.
