Under policy direction from the General Manager, serves as the chief legal advisor to the District and the Authority; provides advice and counsel to all levels of District and SNWA management; conducts legal research and drafts legal documents; represents the District and SNWA in civil litigation and administrative hearings; directs the work of legal consultants and assigned legal staff; and performs related duties as assigned. The General Counsel is responsible for planning, staffing and supervising the legal service needs of the District and SNWA. The incumbent provides top management overview concerning all the legal issues and provides a wide variety of complex professional legal services.
