The Chief Legal Counsel will be responsible for detecting, preventing and investigating Medicare fraud and abuse; decreasing the submission of abusive and fraudulent claims; and taking appropriate administrative action as necessary in accordance with Medicare laws and regulations. This person also advises the Program Directors in legal issues and responsible for specific tasks described in the scope of work that are necessary to maintain compliance with Medicare laws and regulations. Advise Program Integrity staff on legal issues relating to fraud and abuse activities.
