Reporting directly to the President as a member of the President’s Cabinet, the Chief Legal Affairs Officer will oversee all legal matters for the college, and serve as the primary legal advisor to the President and CEO, members of cabinet, the organization’s senior management team, and the Board of Trustees of the college. This position will lead and manage the Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Title IX, EEEO and Internal Audit functions. The CLAO will advise on major contracts and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and business and faculty agreements; regulatory compliance; tax-exempt bonds and other financing agreements; litigation; research and intellectual property matters, IT policy and systems; student and FERPA issues, labor and employment issues; medical staff and patient care matters; graduate medical education; and outside counsel management.
