An Assistant General Counsel, will provide comprehensive legal support for one or more Management Business Units, including, but not limited to, providing proactive and responsive training and advice to Business Unit management on a broad spectrum of legal issues, working cooperatively with Management Law Department colleagues and outside counsel to ensure business Unit compliance with Emerson policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and protecting the Business Unit(s)’s legitimate interests and freedom to operate in the marketplace. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, inter-personal savvy, maturity, integrity, strategic thinking, attention to detail, the ability to be a team player and function successfully in a large complex matrix organization, strong conflict resolution skills, the ability to handle stress and achieve results under adverse and ambiguous conditions, and a strong drive for results and continuous improvement.
