Provide practical and strategic legal counsel to HR professionals and senior management on U.S. and global employment law-related matters, including compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, compensation plans, Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank whistleblower provisions, restrictive covenant protections, employment issues associated with corporate acquisitions and divestitures, diversity issues, and wage and hour compliance. Advise Employee Relations team and other HR professionals on sensitive personnel matters such as discipline and terminations, investigation of internal complaints of discrimination and harassment, and employee leaves and accommodation requests. Draft and advise on a variety of compensation plans, including commission plans, carried interest plans and deferred compensation arrangements.
