Serve as one of the attorneys who manages asbestos litigation, product litigation and general negligence litigation matters; develop strategies to resolve and/or manage pre-litigation matters in the US; and work with regional attorneys globally on litigation and pre-litigation matters outside of the US. Retain and supervise outside counsel while managing strategic defenses or prosecution of the Company’s legal position and having oversight responsibility for the litigation and defense budgets for geographic areas of responsibility for asbestos and product litigation dockets. Monitor and direct outside counsel and negotiate successful resolutions by actively participating in settlement conferences and mediations.
