This individual must guide company's patent strategy, based on long range plans and the strategic planning process. This will involve working with General Managers to guide individual division IP (Intellectual Property) strategies and making sure the IP landscape is understood as new designs are worked on. This individual will also actively engage with the ITW Patent Department to help with dispute resolutions that may occur in the course of business.
