The Vice President and General Counsel works directly for the Chief Administrative Officer and will serve as the senior lawyer for the organization with approximately 9 attorneys and 5 staff reporting into the position. This role oversees the daily operations of legal department. The Vice President and General Counsel assumes responsibility for the long term planning, direction and overall accountability for the legal function system-wide; is responsible for the business outcomes of the work performed by the group; communicates and interprets organizational and departmental mission goals and objectives to all areas of responsibility; models outstanding leadership and client services behavior to the team, and provides leadership and direction in the planning, implementation, and evaluation activities of all areas of responsibility.
