Under direction of the Chief Compliance Officer, this position will primarily be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Company’s corporate privacy compliance program with respect to the Health Insurance Accountability and Portability Act (HIPAA), Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH), state privacy laws, state data security and breach laws and other privacy laws applicable to the Company. As well, this position assists with general ethics and compliance communication and awareness programs, and trains field office staff in same. Secondarily, this position assists the Chief compliance Officer with the development and implementation of ethics programs and policies and procedures pertinent to the operation of a publically-held healthcare organization.
