This attorney will have responsibility for active management and oversight of all aspects of Intellectual Property ("IP") litigation and disputes, as well as other complex commercial litigation issues as required. While the primary responsibility will be managing IP litigation, this job will require an ability to handle general commercial litigation issues in partnership with the larger litigation team on an “as needed” basis. This position reports directly to the Director, IP Litigation and Antitrust, and up to the Vice President, Chief Litigation Counsel. Specifically, this attorney will counsel executives and internal clients on litigation strategy and risks, retain and manage outside counsel, manage cost effective budgeting and fee arrangements with outside counsel, review pleadings, coordinate discovery, participate in mediations and arbitrations, engage in settlement negotiations, and manage settlements internally.
