Full-time 8486 Assistant General Counsel, Healthcare

The Assistant General Counsel will be assigned to the Healthcare Division focusing on the long-term care industry (including homecare and nursing home workers). Responsibilities may include: providing legal advice to union officers, local leaders and staff organizers on strategic campaigns; analyzing existing legal structures governing homecare workers in targeted states; developing and pursuing defensive and proactive litigation strategies; drafting proposed legislation, regulations, executive orders and other policy initiatives. Applicants should have at least three to five years of experience, excellent legal analytic, research and writing skills, strong academic record and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated commitment to workers’ rights.
