The Counsel, Labor and Employment proactively manages labor relations and employment activities. The position provides uniform and consistent advice and preventative counsel to all levels of the organization regarding labor and employment matters. The Counsel, Labor and Employment partners with the business and Human Resources in a way that enhances the flexibility of the business and limits legal exposure. To that end, the position entails the provision of a broad range of legal services within the labor and employment area, including strategic planning concerning labor and employment litigation and claims, management and handling of labor and employment litigation and claims, development of employment practices and procedures, development and delivery of management training, preventative counseling regarding labor and employment issues, and rendering of other legal advice to the organization and business operations.
