Company is looking for an experienced regulatory and compliance lawyer who understands the financial markets, the fiduciary obligations of investment advisers in the alternatives sector and the dynamic regulatory landscape in which company operates. This is a highly unique opportunity to join the Legal and Compliance Department of a leading, publicly-traded, SEC-registered investment adviser (operating in multiple foreign jurisdictions) with approximately $55 billion in assets under management across multiple business lines, including hedge funds, private equity funds, publicly-traded real estate investment trusts and traditional asset management. The position will be based in Manhattan and will report to the company’s Chief Compliance Officer/Deputy General Counsel.
