This Assistant General Counsel will draft, negotiate and close distribution transactions for Media Networks and Studios content with MPVDs (cable, telco, direct broadcast satellite, and non facilities-based distributors), ensuring that all content is cleared for the appropriate media and that related issues are addressed by coordinating with all relevant internal groups (labor relations, network lawyers, music, production, affiliate relations, etc.). Distribution includes traditional linear cable networks, as well as video on demand (both ad supported and transactional) and “TV Everywhere” internet-based distribution. Ongoing oversight of legal issues related to distribution relationships, including MFN compliance.
